First_Step_Press

I'm a dad of two and a lifelong tabletop gamer. Like a lot of you, I kept running into the same problem: I wanted to play, but my group couldn't always get together. I went looking for solo adventures to fill those nights, and eventually I started writing my own.

First Step Press makes Norse horror adventures for fifth edition, built for one or two players with no GM needed. Each book is a branching adventure told in verses, with every verse on its own page so you never spoil what's ahead. Expect cold barrows, old curses, hard choices, and things that should have stayed buried.

The Haugbui's Rune is the first chapter of The Ice-Beard's Bane Saga, a multi-book journey from level 1 into legend. It's out now as a playtest edition, and I'd love to hear how your run went: what worked, what didn't, and where you got stuck. Every comment helps shape the books that follow.
